MBOC was started to help Homeschool Moms access resources that allow room for discussion on hot topics— traditional marriage, dangers and issues around the cvd shot, pro-life resources, medical freedom. Although MBOC started in Canada it is now a part of a 508 (c) (1) (A) based out of the United States.
If you have resources to help in any of these areas please forward them to the email ([email protected]). We are building a library of information to help navigate today’s world and we want you to hear your voice/resources too!
On this web page there are a variety of different news sources we enjoy. Unless specifically mentioned, the listed sources are not in any way affiliated with MBOC, Ministry Moms, or the Living Seeds Foundation. We have chosen to link to these sources because we believe that there are some really great things that each of them are bringing to the table.
There may be some philosophies/theology and/or things said that we do not fully agree with, but we feel that these sources are bringing things to light that otherwise would be left in the darkness.
TRIGGER WARNING: If you get upset easily on hot topic discussions and are not open to discussing them, then I would not recommend using this resource as it is not my goal to add stress to your life. This resource page is only for those who want to research further and are okay with discussing these topics in out-side-the-box / non-main stream news conditions.
*Please discern for yourself whether you should listen to any sources listed. You are responsible for any actions taken on this site. Use at your own risk.
Do you have a passion to write, podcast, or speak? We are looking for volunteers who want to contribute and are not afraid to speak up and speak out about the HOT TOPIC issues of today.
If you have something to share (print-outs, recordings, blog posts, books) and it aligns with our core values, please email us and we may post your content on this page/site!

Have you ever wanted something so badly you could feel it in your bones? Or, have you ever eaten a whole bag of chips just because of some stressor in your life? You know, that stressor that needs attention NOW and must NOT wait! In our society, we've been conditioned to believe that we need everything instantly. From credit card spending to one day shipping, it's all too easy for us to give up something of eternal significance for the sake of feeding our temporary appetite. When reading about Esau, (Genesis 25) who in his voracious hunger sold his birthright to Jacob for a measly bowl of lentil stew, immediately what comes to mind is instant versus delayed gratification.
To attain delayed gratification (something that is lasting, something that is rewarding, something that builds our character and pushes us towards our destiny), we may need to turn down what feels good now (instant gratification) in order to have what would be better later. God loves us so much and it is important to remember that His infinite masterpiece is always better than our finite drawings.
Scripture tells us that Jesus makes a way out for us whenever we are tempted. It's super beneficial to know there is ALWAYS a way out, but it is also up to us to find the ways out that Jesus has already provided for us. Otherwise, like in Esau’s case, giving in could rob us of our rightful inheritance, hinder the call placed upon our lives, and quench the power of the Holy Spirit.
No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
Temptation happens to all of us. When we try to fulfill fleshly cravings instantly just to get rid of the hunger/pain/hurt/struggle/anger/anxiety or anything else that besets us, we end up falling under the burdens that we try to carry on our own, instead of casting our cares unto Jesus.
It is essential to look at the situation, the trauma, or like Esau “simply the craving” at hand and recognize it for what it is. If we numb the pain, we allow the enemy to put up a wall in front of us and--- therein lies a disconnect to our eternal significance, and for some, harmful habits and addictions. It becomes a temporary fix, not a lasting solution.
The consequence of Esau giving into his instant craving, was not only losing a birthright, but it also caused he and his brother to be divided by hurt, bitterness and fear. Thankfully, in the end, there was restoration and forgiveness. If in the past we have regrettably done something in the moment, let’s come to Jesus. He is always forgiving--- always loving. While we do suffer consequences, God is redemptive and makes all things new.
All of the actions we take matter, even the tiny ones that seem like they won’t make a “hill of beans difference” to anyone else. One helpful action we can take in these everyday situations is to ask good questions in the moment of choice. Questions like, “Does this food heal or hurt?” or “Will this action harm me?” and “Am I glorifying God in this choice?” Checking in to see where our hearts and minds are before trying to gratify our instant desires, can change not only our lives, but the lives of those around us in a beneficial way.
When we ask ourselves these questions in the moment, it helps us take inventory and to clarify if we are becoming a slave to our wants and desires and living as a part (OF) the world or truly living (IN) the world with a mindset of eternal value.
To save us from unnecessary heartache, let's learn from Jacob and Esau. Let’s stop and wait on the Lord and take time to see the way out that has been provided to us--- so we can walk in the fullness of God's plan for our lives.

We are living in the midst of unprecedented times. There’s all kinds of pandemonium going on around the world. And, depending on the source of information, we can be led to either discouragement or encouragement. Not sure about you (I could take a pretty good guess, though), but I know I am all for as much encouragement as I can get!
I’d love to share with you some HOPE-filled news sources that I have found encouraging to watch. And by the end of the article, you will discover that even in the midst of chaos there is always HOPE when current events are seen in light of the bigger picture. Ready? Let’s dive in!
CBN (aka The Christian Broadcasting Network) has been around for 60+ years and is the Good News source I have known about for the longest. My main way of hearing their Christian World News is via the 700 Club. I always love watching the 700 Club for its testimonies and enjoy hearing the world news tucked within the show as it comes from a Christian perspective.
More recently in 2018, CBN introduced CBN News which provides daily news updates from a number of programs based on “Christian Values and an understanding of issues and events from a biblical perspective.” Some of these programs include: News Watch, Christian World News, Faithwire, Jerusalem Dateline, Faith Nation, and The Daily Rundown.

TBN (aka Trinity Broadcasting Newtwork) just recently launched a daily news broadcast called Centerpoint on March 28 of this year (2022). They did this in response to the changing times where there is more censorship and bias in mainstream media. TBN wanted a news source where Christians can be aware of current world events with a Biblical perspective – so that its audience can know what is happening in the world while also receiving HOPE in the process.
Hosted by Doug McKelway, Erick Stakelbeck, and Blynda Lane, Centerpoint’s goal is to “equip viewers with understanding on the issues of the day, and how they impact you, your faith, and your world.” Check out Centerpoint at 7:30 pm ET weekdays on TBN.

VICTORY Channel, birthed in 2015, has on-air and on-demand programming 24/7 that “fills the airways with hope and healing from the Word of God.” Two of its programs do so by sharing current news in light of God’s Word.
VICTORY News brings daily news that can be “trusted and delivered in a spirit of faith.” By its name alone, you know that after watching VICTORY News you won’t be walking away defeated but rather encouraged and empowered. You can tune in every weekday at 12 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. ET.
The other news show, FlashPoint, shares how prophecy and current events are aligning to bring about God’s plans and purposes. I love how host Gene Bailey, along with the regular contributors Mario Murillo, Hank Kunneman and Lance Wallnau, approach current issues with ENCOURAGING evidence, words of LIFE and HOPE-filled prayer. Check FlashPoint out every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

Liftable TV is a newer media platform launched last May (2021) also in response to increased censorship and main stream media propaganda. Its focus is, “News, Faith and Lifestyle” and it hosts well known and diverse Christian voices who have the common factor of a Biblical worldview. As evidenced by its name, Liftable TV’s desire is to honor God and encourage its audience with HOPE-filled programs.
Some of its news programs include The Underground with Lance Wallnau, Washington Watch, The Christian View, Mornings On The Dove, The Todd Starne’s Show and PIJN News. All have the commonality of bringing Biblical wisdom to current cultural issues emphasizing truth-centered news.

As a Canadian I appreciate Faytene.TV. The weekly program, hosted by Faytene Grasseschi, speaks directly to the current issues shaping Canada from a faith perspective. Faytene has been an “humanitarian and advocacy worker since 1997” and “is regarded as a voice on social justice issues both at Parliament and grass roots forums across Canada.” The goal of her show is to make the audience aware of current events and how to respond as believers.
She interviews many of “Canada’s strongest voices” concerning the issues at hand while seeking to equip believers to take action without just accepting everything that takes place. Its a source of good news as Faytene interviews believers who speak truth to the situations at hand to show us that we aren’t alone and are able to take steps to see things change for the good.
